DESCRIPTION

This diver’s watch is a modern re-interpretation of the Seiko world-first ‘Hybrid divers’ originally released in 1982 and named hybrid because it combines analogue and digital watch technology. This specific model is also known as the ‘Arnie’ after the actor who wore it in the film ‘Commando’ and its watch shape is affectionately nicknamed by Seiko fans as a ‘Tuna’ – because of its larger diameter and bold shape like a tuna tin – loved for decades since its release.

Solar-powered, the watch charges from natural and electric light. The accordion-style silicone strap combines style, high durability, and comfort – a strap design invented by Seiko as a practical solution to the expansion and contraction of a diver’s wrist at different depths.

Seiko Prospex watches are designed for sports lovers and adventure seekers whether in the water, in the sky or on land. Since launching Japan’s first diver’s watch in 1965, Seiko’s innovative watchmaking has changed global dive watch standards.

Pairs Well With:

Solar Powered Mechanism

A solar watch is a watch that operates by converting natural or artificial light energy into electrical energy. The solar cell unit located beneath the dial absorbs light energy, which is then converted into electrical energy. This electrical energy is stored in a rechargeable battery and used to power the watch’s movement.

AWESOME WATCH!

"I bought the "SNJ025" Black version and could not be happier! Watched a few review/tutorial videos on YouTube and everything points to it's an ideal reissue watch made better! Pick one up, while you can! Case in point. I am super happy with Halifax Watch Company's service / email response (all hours of the day) to my inquiries. Shipped the very next Business day of purchase (ordered on a Sunday). Would hands down recommend both Watch and Company!"
