HACK WATCHInspired by Bulova’s military heritage and vintage watches of the time, the HACK watch infuses historical elements for an updated lifestyle. The original Bulova HACK watch was issued to the U.S. Military during World War II and was one of the first watches of its kind. Military personnel relied heavily on the HACK watch as precision was essential. Before the invention of highly sophisticated military technology, fighting forces relied on the hack function of the watch’s second hand to synchronize their movements to the second. To ensure timely completion of missions, the team would pull out the crown and stop, or “hack”, the second hand at the 12 o’clock position to synchronize the time.
The newest edition of the HACK watch is inspired by the 1950s original. With a versatile look that is made more authentic with a fine automatic movement, and a supple leather NATO strap, the new HACK watch is casually cool, comfortable to wear, and is a nod to Bulova’s past.
