What is an Automatic Watch?
3 Year Canadian Limited Warranty
Limited Edition of 1,200 Pieces
This timepiece combines Seiko’s watchmaking expertise with the traditional Japanese artistry of Urushi lacquering.
Its design recreates the dial of the brand’s very first pocket watch, known as the ‘Timekeeper,’ launched in 1895 at the time of the Seikosha establishment as it was then known.
Under a dual-curve sapphire crystal glass is a jet-black Urushi lacquered dial, lined with a ‘railtrack’ design around its circumference, accented by gold-coloured roman numerals. Designed to be both a men’s and ladies style, the Urushi dial is created by repeated layers of lacquering and polishing to a glossy texture, whilst the gold accents resemble traditional Kanazawa lacquerware. The slim and stylish nostalgic numerals resemble baton indices for high legibility whilst the case of this Classic Series dress piece is finished with a super-hard coating for scratch resistance.
The accompanying black leather strap is sustainably sourced and LWG-certified by the Leather Working Group international organisation for sustainable leather production.
Powered by an in-house 6R5H automatic calibre, the timepiece has a 24-hour feature at 6 o’clock. Accurate to -15/+25 seconds per day, it has a power reserve of three days. This timepiece is water resistant to 100m.
*This watch dial is created by hand with Urushi lacquer. Therefore, it may have slight differences in colour or minute distortions. These are unique features of handcrafted Urushi lacquer dials, of which no two are exactly alike.
